A radiology trainee is usually made available for critical care scanning at lunchtime / later afternoon so get requests in as early as possible (on CRS) in the morning in order to ensure they are processed and conducted. If there are lots of requests on any one day, prioritise them for the radiologist! It is helpful to give the radiologist a heads up by phone on the US requests for the day, especially if scans are urgent (41012/41011/41013).
