On all occasions when intravenous procedures are undertaken (drug delivery, infusions etc.), ANTT should be complied with. The essentials of the technique are:
1. Remember what is sterile (syringe tip, needle hub etc.) and keep it so.
2. Disinfect the injection port/skin with chlorhexidine and allow to dry.
