In addition to piped oxygen and air, we have cylinders on less commonly used gases available on ACCU.  The techs/senior nurses will be able to set these up for you.

Entonox
Entonox is a mixture of 50% oxygen with 50% nitrous oxide.  It is used for rapid analgesia during painful procedures (e.g. dressing changes).  It requires a demand valve, which the techs can supply and set up for you.

Heliox
Heliox is a mixture of 79% helium with 21% oxygen.  The lower density of helium means gas flow has a lower propensity to become turbulent through narrow airways (e.g. partial upper airway obstruction).  If your patient requires supplemental oxygen, you will need to rig this up.

Nitric oxide
Nitric oxide selectively vasodilates vessels in ventilated lung units.  It is sometimes used to treat severe V/Q mismatch or pulmonary hypertension.  Always discuss its use with a consultant first.
